Tetbury Youth Club
Tetbury Area Youth & Community Trust was set up to provide a safe, supportive and fun environment for young people in Tetbury. We offer weekly Youth Club sessions, short projects and in-school 1:1 Mentoring Support to those who need it. All sessions are run by trained youth workers and volunteers.
From September 2024 we will be offering 3 sessions a week which will be split into school year groups Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9+. These will run on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We can be found through the Blue Door at the back of the Dolphins Hall or in the main hall when our larger sessions are running. When the weather allows we hold our sessions outside on the Rec.
For those who are new to us, our sessions are completely FREE. Squash is always available at no charge and there is often fruit and toast that they can help themselves to. There is a tuck shop if your young person would like to bring a small amount of money for a treat. Drinks and confectionary range from 10p-70p.
WHAT IS A DROP-IN SESSION?
This simply means that whilst we would encourage young people to stay in the room and enjoy the activities provided, young people are free to come and go during the session. We do not have the capacity to keep them in the room or follow them out if they choose to leave. If you would prefer your child to stay inside for the whole session then you will need to make that agreement with them, we do not have the ability to enforce this. We cannot supervise or take responsibility for any young people who leave the session.
Please check out our social media pages for the latest information on sessions and our activities!

Detached Youth Work
From time to time our Youth Workers enjoy the opportunity to get out and engage with the young people they meet around town. If you ever spot the team with their turquoise Youth Worker hoodies and hi-viz, do stop to say hi!
Short term projects
We run a variety of short term projects and events.
A group of young people from the Youth Club attended a successful joint project at Westonbirt Arboretum this Spring. It was a 7 week programme culminating in a celebration event. The Wild Westonbirt project aimed to provide young people with a place after school to relax, connect with nature, learn new skills and build confidence. The group were fantastic, once they were comfortable in the setting they flourished and took part in activities such as fire lighting, Kelly Kettles, cooking on the fire, whittling, leaf printing, tree identifying and plenty of s’mores were eaten. The feedback from both the young people and their families was really positive.
If you have an idea for a project, please do get in touch via the Contact form. We’re particularly keen to support young people to develop their ideas and bring them to life!
