What is a friendship café?
The mission of the Friendship Café is to create a welcoming and inter-generational space where everyone can build connections and support one another.
Through various activities such as, bingo, quizzes, singing and crafts, we strive to provide something for everyone.
Our goal is to enhance the overall well-being of our community by promoting a sense of belonging and friendship.
Come and say hello! Every Thursday from 10am, Dolphins Hall.
What we have been up to
Special Events: Throughout the year, we host themed community lunches, including highly popular celebrations for both VE Day and Christmas.
Trips & Outings: Our community connection extends beyond the café doors with regular group excursions to beautiful local spots like Westonbirt Arboretum, Highgrove, the theatre, and local garden centres.
Listening: We have been listening directly to our older residents to help shape local activities, promote inclusion, and expand volunteer participation.
Our fabulous Volunteers
Every week, our extraordinary team of volunteers comes together to run the Friendship Café and support our Ageing Well initiatives.
From helping to set things up, sharing plenty of laughs, to always being on hand to help with all of our activities, they are the true spirit of our community. They make sure everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed, valued, and part of the family.
