Who we are
Tetbury Area Youth & Community Trust (TAYCT) is a grassroots charity dedicated to creating opportunities for young people and the wider community in Tetbury and the surrounding areas.
We are the primary youth work provider in the town, filling a vital gap left when Gloucestershire County Council withdrew its youth services in 2011. Through our youth clubs, mentoring, wellbeing projects, and school holiday activities, we offer young people a safe space to grow in confidence, build essential life skills, and access trusted support.
Our work extends beyond youth services. We believe in the power of connection and community, which is why we run the Tetbury Friendship Café—a welcoming space for people of all ages to meet, chat, and combat loneliness. Looking ahead, we aspire to develop a community hub that will offer even more opportunities for people to come together, including a dedicated community café and a supportive stay-and-play group for carers and young children.
At TAYCT, we keep our community at the heart of everything we do. We listen, adapt, and collaborate with local partners—including Tetbury Town Council, the Cotswold Youth Network, Tetbury Health and Wellbeing Working Group, local schools, and other organisations—to ensure we make the greatest impact.
Whether you’re a young person looking for support, a community member seeking connection, or someone who wants to help make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
